I'm guessing most people on here got to know each other through music. So who's involved in making music?
Personally I got a bass when I was 16 and played in a couple of dodgy metal bands with some mates for a few years, then me and and mate started creating some sample based EBM and Industrial stuff with some Atari STs. We moved on improvised noisy ambient stuff with hardware gear for a while too. Then I moved to uni and didn't really do much. After uni I started playing bass in a couple of punk bands, that lasted up until a couple of years ago. All the bands I was in folded within 2 months of each other. But my interests had moved on to experimental electronic music. So for the last two years I've been deep into the world of Modular Synths and stuff.
What about everyone else?

I've played guitar for many years (mostly electric) and am a pretty good piano player. I also play a bunch of other instruments, and have been in quite a few bands in the past. I mostly just play for fun now, especially if I can hook up with other musicians who just want to jam.
Once in a while I record something, but that seems to get more and more rare these days.

I play bass and guitar to a modest level. Was in bands, they broke up. Nobody in my area is interested in the stuff I am interested in so currently on the long road to figuring out how to make it all happen by myself!

Ive played bass in a couple of hardcore bands and then in doom/sludge bands rebekah and crawe with some mates. Had over a decade not playing anything and during lockdown I decided to crack my bass back out and buy a few drum machines and synths. Doing a sludge/doom band with a couple of old band mates whenever we're allowed to meet up and practice and been writing and recording a 80s swans\godflesh type project on my lonesome. It's good to have a creative outlet to vent to during these difficult times.
