I'm looking forward to the PJ Harvey reissues that are coming out. When Rid of Me and Dry first came out My girlfriend, at the time, owned them so I didn't. Then they became hard to find and expensive.
I'm also very excited about the news of an Anna Von Hausswolff release coming.

I’ve been enjoying the new Occlith of late. Less sludgy than their first release, this one has a different singer (the guitarist from Chrch, actually) and is generally more along the death-doom side of things, bringing to mind a less funereal-paced Bell Witch at times.

That Melvins/Mudhoney collab looks far more promising than the last few EPs they put out. The Cisneros and Flipper EPs were kind of underwhelming and the collab with ShitKid was... Well, shit.

The best album of year for me has been Hilary Woods - Birthmarks. A mix of industrial noise rhythms, Okkyung Lee's cello, and softly sung vocals making for a unique and intense sound.
Nurse With Wound's Trippin' Muzik: about half of this is really very good, and the other is throwaway. The Arcane Reawakening 7" is good too.
Jace Clayton's The Julius Eastman Memory Depot has some excellent moments, some parts don't work so well but when it's good, it's very good, conceptually interesting too.
Andrew Chalk's releases in recent years have tended to all blur together in 'sameiness' for me, but One Long Year has some lovely moments.
A similar release of uplifting minimal composition / ambient music from last year, but which I've only recently picked up on, is M Shutak: The Widows House. It's very low-key but quite lovely, at times it's like the nicest parts of Current 93's Thunder Perfect Mind and Of Ruine but with no vocals.
Reissue of the year for me has been the Come Organisation 11 vinyl boxset from Vinyl On Demand. Definitely not for everyone, probably most would find the contents unpleasant and many would find them objectionable, but for fans of the label it really is a dream come true, officially releasing material I never thought I would see available. I also got the Two Daughters VOD double LP with it, but I'm really not keen on it at all, finding it very amateur and forgettable.

I just got that new Iggy Pop - The Bowie Years CD box. Really cool collection, interesting stuff. 7 discs is a lot though, I have to space out the listening
